Big Brother 24 Day 11 - Michael wins the Power of Veto
July 16, 2022
8:45 AM: Feeds went down for the veto player selection.
9:15 AM: Feeds returned. The veto players are Jasmine, Pooch, Taylor, Ameerah, Michael and Terrance.
9:16 AM: Jasmine told Ameerah and Terrance that she would like for her nominations to be kept the same. Ameerah said she will go for it. Terrance said he would never change the nominations.
9:22 AM: Ameerah told Nicole that Jasmine wants her to keep nominations the same but she doesn’t want to win. Ameerah said she is not happy since she will have to go for it since Pooch cannot win. Nicole agreed that she should just go for it. Nicole pointed out that it’s five against one, so the odds are great that Pooch will be going home.
9:32 AM: Taylor spoke to the camera, saying that Brittany or Michael need to win HoH next week. She figures that she will be out the door the following week if she wins it. Taylor said that she will have to map out her plan for jury and the final two once she wins the veto. She believes that she can get there if she plays it smart.
9:37 AM: Monte spoke to Ameerah and Nicole about how he and Kyle will need to vote for Pooch to stay in order to save face with Joseph and Turner. Nicole agreed. Monte then questioned if evicting Pooch is the right move when Taylor is trying to backdoor her, as per Ameerah. Ameerah told him that he should win HoH next week then. She added that he has not even been trying. Monte said he wanted Nicole to win, and he wasn’t going that hard, but he did try. Monte continued to say that Pooch is upfront in terms of what his plans are, and he is not targeting anyone in their alliance whereas Taylor is. The girls held their stance that the shot needs to be taken at Pooch while they have it. They agreed that Taylor can go next if that’s what Monte wants.
9:52 AM: Kyle joined Ameerah, Monte and Nicole. He said Pooch is talking about targeting Brittany, Indy and Terrance. Ameerah said he has mentioned Michael’s name as well, and that is one of their allies. Kyle didn’t think that he would target Michael right now. Monte ultimately said he was thinking strictly based on game but there seems to be some personal stuff going into the decision making, so the whole house wants Pooch out and he is fine with that.
9:58 AM: Ameerah asked Indy if she trusts Taylor. Indy said she doesn’t but if they don’t get Pooch out right now, it’s going to be hard to do so in the future. Indy suggested that Taylor could go next week. Ameerah agreed.
10:01 AM: Jasmine told Ameerah and Michael that it would be great if they could keep nominations the same. She mentioned that Terrance was going to be her replacement nominee but she doesn’t want to have to put one up. Jasmine said she is praying that Pooch does not win. Ameerah asked if they are getting Taylor out next week. Jasmine said she is down and she doesn’t care what happens after this. Michael asked if they are going to target Pooch first in the veto competition, or go for Taylor to keep up appearances that she is the target. Ameerah figured that they would have to keep up appearances.
10:05 AM: Nicole asked Terrance if he is on board with what they want to do. Terrance said he wants to make sure that nominations stay the same since he wants Taylor out of there. Nicole revealed that they re trying to get Pooch out. Terrance said he needs memos sent out then but he got the memo now. Nicole warned Terrance that Monte would probably try to get him to vote Taylor out. She suggested saying that he is going to do what Jasmine wants.
10:44 AM: Ameerah and Nicole discussed that they didn’t like how Monte reacted during their earlier conversation but they don’t want him to flip on them so they have to be careful. That being said, they agreed that they are not taking Taylor out for him.
10:49 AM: Kyle told Ameerah and Nicole that Pooch is telling people that he is his number one, which he does not want to be. Ameerah and Kyle agreed that Pooch cannot be trusted in the long run. Kyle said he thinks that they will be good as long as Taylor doesn’t win HoH.
11:53 AM: Kyle asked Michael if he feels better after talking to Pooch. Michael said yeah, since the more Pooch talks, the more he puts his foot in his mouth. Michael said that it is ironically helping Pooch by doing that. Kyle questioned if they want to get rid of someone who is doing that. He informed Michael that there was a little blow up between Monte, Ameerah and Nicole. Kyle said he thinks the target has to be Pooch or else the alliance is done, because the girls are that strongly for getting him out. Kyle admitted that he is not feeling good about the alliance right now. Michael said he doesn’t think that Pooch would nominate him next to someone from the alliance, and they don’t know what Taylor would do. Kyle said Pooch is a puppet and he would listen to what the guys tell him. Kyle said he is worried that the girls are solidifying. Michael said they will have to see what happens. Kyle acknowledged that they may not be able to keep Pooch even if they want to at this point.
1:03 PM: Feeds went down for the veto competition.
3:01 PM: Feeds returned. Michael won the Power of Veto.
3:47 PM: Nicole told Ameerah that she would like to win HoH next week to put Turner up. Ameerah said Joseph and Turner cannot win HoH, because they will come after them once Pooch is gone. Ameerah later said that Taylor cannot win either. Nicole said she would like for Michael to win, but Ameerah pointed out that it will be hard to protect him if he wins too much.
3:50 PM: Ameerah told Michael that he can’t win HoH next week. Michael said he knows. He explained that he didn’t want to win the veto but he did it for the group. Michael said he talked to Pooch earlier today, before the veto competition, and Pooch told him not to use the veto if he were to win it. Michael asked if they feel good about Pooch leaving if nominations stay the same. Ameerah said yeah. Michael noted that he would be willing to use the veto on Taylor if there are any doubts.
4:11 PM: Michael told Brittany that he is going to tell Jasmine he is willing to do whatever she wants, including using the veto on Taylor if she is worried that the house will flip. Michael added that he would have to know that Brittany would not be the replacement nominee.
4:35 PM: Jasmine told Indy and Michael that Pooch seems to be getting nervous now. Indy pointed out that he is quiet, and he is never quiet.
4:37 PM: Pooch told Ameerah that he needs seven votes to stay, which is a lot of votes. Pooch said he needs to make sure that the guys don’t screw him, but he doesn’t think that they would. Pooch asked who would want to keep Taylor in the house. Ameerah said the thing is that Taylor could go at any time. Pooch said that’s only the case until she gets power, then you don’t know what she will do. Ameerah said that’s what Pooch needs to use in his campaign.
4:48 PM: Brittany told Turner she doesn’t know if this is going to happen but Taylor would like to convince Jasmine to put a bigger target than Pooch up on the block. When Turner asked who, Brittany said she does not know. Turner said he isn’t close to Michael to know what he would do. Brittany said it seems as though he will keep things the same since the plan is to evict Taylor.
5:31 PM: Jasmine said she doesn’t want the votes to change, but Taylor will have to go if they do. Jasmine said she thinks that would be a big missed shot. Michael let her know that he is willing to use the veto. Michael added that Pooch himself told him earlier today to leave the nominations the same.
6:16 PM: Pooch told Michael that Daniel and Nicole are making him feel like someone bigger may go up next to him. Michael questioned why he would use the veto on Taylor. Pooch said that’s the feeling that those two gave him. Pooch said he wouldn’t mind it if someone bigger goes, even if it’s a guy, as long as it’s not him. Michael said he is willing to pull someone down if Jasmine wants that, but Taylor is still the target as far as he knows.
6:30 PM: Turner told Pooch that Brittany said it’s Taylor’s goal to get Monte up on the block next to him. Pooch said he is starting to think that he and Monte cannot make it out of this week together, as either Monte will go or he will be leaving if next to Taylor.
7:53 PM: Turner asked Jasmine if the plan is still the same. Jasmine confirmed that it is. Turner said he wanted to know because he is sure that Taylor will be campaigning and he wants to be on the same page as Jasmine. Jasmine said that Taylor is already campaigning. Turner said it’s a double edged sword since if she is already campaigning and shows how good she is, people may think that she needs to go. Jasmine pointed out that there are still four whole days to go until eviction night. Turner asked if she would break the tie to send Taylor out. Jasmine said that she for sure would.
8:36 PM: Pooch asked Jasmine if Michael has said anything. Jasmine said he told her that he hasn’t made his mind up yet but he is thinking he will keep the names the same. Pooch said he has heard Monte’s name being thrown around as a possible replacement nominee. He added that he is good with whatever as long as he doesn’t go. Jasmine said that is so far off from somebody that she would pick. Pooch asked if he has to be worried. Jasmine said no. She told him that nobody is saying his name.
9:05 PM: Turner told Pooch that Michael said he wants to keep nominations the same, and then Jasmine confirmed that he is leaving nominations the same as far as she knows. Pooch said Jasmine seemed really straightforward with him too. Pooch wondered if they were just overthinking things earlier. Turner said that they might have been.
9:59 PM: Terrance asked Jasmine if he is still sticking with the plan. Jasmine said Daniel seems ready to get Taylor out. Terrance said Daniel absolutely hates that girl. They discussed that Monte does as well. Jasmine said she didn’t come in there trying to get all of the guys out, but Pooch offered himself up and she has a chance to get a meathead out. Terrance pointed out that why wouldn’t she take her shot then. Jasmine said she was the first girl to get HoH and she would be stupid not to do it. Terrance said he is a guy and even he doesn’t want to face Pooch. He assured Jasmine that she has his vote to evict Pooch.
10:05 PM: Pooch told Kyle that Jasmine said he has nothing to worry about, and she 1000% wants Taylor to go home. Kyle called Jasmine a snake and a liar. He pointed out that Indy and Michael ran up to the HoH room. He said he will talk to Michael to see what he says. Pooch said he had a great conversation with Michael prior to the veto competition. They counted out the votes. Kyle listed Joseph, Monte, Turner and himself as four. Pooch said Terrance as well. Kyle said they would need Michael or a girl as well.
10:32 PM: Daniel asked Nicole if it’s crazy to take Taylor down and put Monte up. Feeds then switch to another room. When they returned, Nicole said “they” want Pooch out bad. Daniel said that they are thinking personal and not game. Daniel and Nicole agreed that now would be the time to take Monte out.
11:40 PM: Monte told Jasmine he knows that the house thinks it’s the time to take Pooch out but he is worried about what happens if Taylor wins HoH next week. Jasmine let Monte know that Pooch came to her and asked if she will put a bigger target than him up if Michael uses the veto, and he specifically named Monte. Monte asked if his tone was as if he was suggesting it. Jasmine said Pooch is the one who brought his name up. Jasmine said she would have expected anyone else’s name to come out of Pooch’s mouth. She told Monte that she doesn’t want him to go to bat for someone who is throwing his name out there. Monte said he knows that Pooch is a liability but there is a perception thing with Joseph and Turner, so that’s why he needs to vote to keep him. Monte said he has no reason to tell them that he is evicting Pooch, so he doesn’t want to lose trust with them. Jasmine said she respects that and she knows that the votes are already there to evict Pooch.
