Big Brother 24 Day 9 - Paloma leaves the game; Jasmine wins HoH
July 14, 2022
6:27 PM: It was revealed that Paloma left the house last night due to a “personal matter”.
6:30 PM: Julie revealed to the viewers that Brittany had been saved by America, but Paloma’s exit would change the course of the game. Julie then told the houseguests that one of the nominees would have battled it out against one of the backstage pass holders, with the loser leaving the game immediately. Due to Paloma leaving, the backstage twist was over immediately.
6:32 PM: Julie revealed that Alyssa, Brittany, Taylor and Terrance are all safe.
6:40 PM: The HoH competition got underway. The houseguests competed two at a time in seven heats, with the winner of each race advancing to compete for HoH. The results were as follows:
Michael defeated Pooch
Taylor defeated Alyssa
Joseph defeated Indy
Ameerah defeated Brittany
Jasmine defeated Terrance
Kyle defeated Turner
Monte defeated Nicole6:59 PM: Before signing off, Julie said that next Thursday she will have a huge announcement that will shake the house.
12:04 AM: Feeds returned. Jasmine is the new HoH.
12:10 AM: Jasmine told Brittany, Indy and Turner that Taylor thought she was off of the block but she is going right back. Jasmine clarified that she wants her out.
12:12 AM: Pooch told Alyssa he doesn’t think that Taylor should be given a chance to play in the veto competition, so she should not be an original nominee.
12:15 AM: Pooch talked to Joseph about how he could beat Brittany and Jasmine if he is on the block and playing in the veto comp, and then Taylor could be put up instead.
12:24 AM: Brittany and Michael discussed thinking that they will be safe this week.
12:53 AM: Jasmine revealed that last week’s have-not’s get to choose this week’s have-nots. Monte chose Pooch, Joseph chose Nicole, Michael chose Terrance and Kyle chose Daniel.
1:05 AM: Pooch told Kyle that he feels good about his chances of being safe if he goes up and is playing in the veto competition. He added that the best way to take Taylor out is by not even giving her a chance to play for veto.
1:08 AM: Alyssa told Kyle she doesn’t understand why Jasmine wouldn’t just put Taylor up. She expects Jasmine to take Pooch up on his offer to go on the block.
1:45 AM: Jasmine told Alyssa, Indy and Joseph that she doesn’t want Taylor to have a chance to play in the veto competition. Alyssa mentioned Pooch saying that he could win the veto if he goes up next to Brittany. Jasmine said she wants to talk to Pooch to make sure that he is good. She wasn’t sold on the idea of Brittany going up.
2:07 AM: Michael told Alyssa and Ameerah he doesn’t think that Taylor was going to come after the girls if she had won. Ameerah said Taylor asked her if she would be going up if she had won, and she told her that she would have been a pawn. They discussed that Pooch volunteered to go up next to Brittany in order to backdoor Taylor. Alyssa said she does not want to do that to Brittany after she was stressed out all last week. Michael said he would love to play in the veto and beat Pooch. Alyssa said Turner wouldn’t know what to do without Pooch. Ameerah said that they should get Pooch out. They agreed that they cannot tell Joseph. Ameerah said they can only tell the girls and the people in their alliance. Alyssa figured that Jasmine should be fine with it since Pooch would put her up. Ameerah suggested taking Turner out if Pooch wins the veto.
3:01 AM: Michael told Brittany that Pooch is offering to go up against her as a pawn, but he doesn’t think that Jasmine will do it. Brittany hoped that Pooch would go up next to Turner. Michael thinks that Pooch is being cocky thinking that he would stay as a pawn. Michael said that Pooch will go home if he is on the block on Thursday. They both agreed that they would want Pooch to go. Michael said he thinks Taylor would have wanted to build with the girls and she would not be afraid to take a big shot if she were to win. He made it clear that he doesn’t want to blindside Jasmine on her HoH though.
4:01 AM: Brittany came out of the diary room for her HoH reveal.
4:59 AM: Alyssa, Ameerah, Brittany and Indy chatted in the HoH room. Indy said Jasmine wants Taylor out but she doesn’t think that this week would be ideal. Ameerah said Taylor is not a threat right now since she is trying to find a crew to grab onto. Alyssa said she would rather get Pooch or another guy out.
5:34 AM: Ameerah told Jasmine that Pooch is offering to go up as a pawn. They agreed that Pooch would go home if he goes up as a pawn. When Ameerah said Pooch wants to go up next to Brittany to backdoor Taylor, Jasmine said that’s not going to happen. Jasmine said this is not Pooch’s HoH. Jasmine worried that people would be mad at her if Pooch goes. Ameerah said people want him out as they know that it’s a shot that they may not get again for a while. Jasmine said she thinks that Pooch would win the veto. Ameerah said they could then backdoor Taylor or someone else. Ameerah said Pooch is an easy nominee since he is volunteering.
5:53 AM: Pooch told Ameerah and Jasmine that he doesn’t see a reason to give Taylor an automatic shot at playing for veto. Pooch suggested putting him up next to Brittany in order to backdoor Taylor. He even said he would be willing to stay on the block and have someone use the veto on Brittany if it makes her feel better. Pooch said the only other way is to put him up next to a strong competitor like Daniel but that scares him. Jasmine said Taylor is not going up initially either way, but she would not commit to a plan outside of that. Jasmine said she doesn’t know if she wants to risk putting Pooch up, but he said there is no point in putting someone else up when he is offering. Jasmine said she doesn’t know where the girls stand with Pooch. Pooch explained that Alyssa and Ameerah should be good with him and then it doesn’t make sense for the guys to split and screw him over, so they would all have to do it which also wouldn’t make sense.
6:40 AM: Ameerah told Jasmine that she has got to put Pooch on the block. Jasmine said he is going up. Ameerah said she is going to vote him out. Ameerah said she likes Pooch but he is a competitor and it’s a chance to take him out. Ameerah said Kyle is on board with voting him out and Nicole said she wanted him out today as well. Ameerah told Jasmine to put Pooch up next to whoever and then let the house vote, but they would be crazy not to take the shot at Pooch. She figured that Joseph and Turner may be the only two who keep Pooch. Ameerah added that she would be shocked if Pooch got the votes to stay. Ameerah said if it was her HoH, she would nominate Pooch and Taylor, telling both that they are pawns. If one wins the veto, she could then backdoor a strong player like Turner. Jasmine was concerned about not having the votes. Ameerah pointed out that people wanted Pooch and Turner out the other day. Ameerah said Jasmine needs to talk to everyone tomorrow and figure it out. They then went to bed.
