Big Brother 25 Day 12 - Hisam wins the Power of Veto
August 13, 2023
9:17 AM: Feeds returned after being down for 19 hours. Hisam won the Power of Veto.
9:18 AM: Hisam spoke to Felicia, wondering what the other side’s game would look like post-Reilly. Felicia expects a second alliance to rise up. Hisam said he was thankful that everything worked out as he was nervous heading into the veto competition.
9:30 AM: Jag asked Reilly if Cirie is solid. She said Cirie would not pinky promise her if not. Jag said they need to remain tight lipped about Cirie so they can blindside the other side over and over.
9:32 AM: Hisam asked Cirie, Felicia and Izzy if they have noticed that America is spending more time with them. They said yes. Hisam thinks that they might be able to pull her over. Felicia feels as though she is already on their side. Hisam expects a unanimous vote to evict Reilly this week.
9:47 AM: Reilly asked Jared if he for sure thinks that she will have Cirie and Felicia. Jared said he will have to talk to Felicia since Reilly had told him yesterday that Cirie said Felicia is not on board. Reilly clarified that she heard Felicia wants to do whatever Hisam wants.
9:59 AM: Blue and Reilly went over the votes. They listed off America, Blue, Cirie, Cory, Jag Jared and Matt as the seven that Reilly would need to stay. Blue suggested that she work on Felicia as well as it’s going to be close.
10:00 AM: Jag told Cirie there could be a blindside this week but they would need her vote to keep Reilly. Jag pointed out that Cameron and Reilly have both shown their cards, and one was going against Hisam whereas the other was not trustworthy. Cirie said she does not trust Cameron at all. Jag listed off America, Blue, Cory, Jared, Matt and himself as potential votes to keep Reilly. Cirie said she would be afraid that Hisam would be out for blood if not all of those people follow through on their votes. Reilly joined them. Cirie said the issue is she is telling people that she has her vote, and she would only be able to do this if nobody knows which way she is voting. Cirie reiterated that nobody outside of the room can know that she is keeping Reilly.
10:11 AM: Reilly told Jag they are going to have to tell their alliance not to talk about Cirie potentially voting for her, as they all already know that. Jag figured it would be best to talk to Cirie to figure out who she would want to pin her vote on, otherwise people will assume it was her. Jag encouraged Reilly to hang out with other people more and not be seen with Cirie.
10:34 AM: Cirie told Jared she loves Izzy and would likely be with her even if she didn’t know about their secret, but it’s hard to make her believe that when she holds such a powerful thing over them. Cirie mentioned her talk with Reilly. She said once the votes are read and she only has three votes, she can say that everyone got scared to go against Hisam, and she will stick to that story.
12:00 PM: Cameron and Jared discussed that Hisam is a huge threat. There were talks about targeting him next week. Cameron said when he got pulled over to this side, it was pitched to him from Hisam that it would be a democracy yet this week has shown that it’s not the case. Cameron pointed out that none of them want what is happening this week. Cameron asked who else is on the same page with targeting Hisam. Jared listed Cirie, Cory, Felicia and Izzy. Cameron said Hisam is the only one dictating and drawing the line in terms of sides.
12:04 PM: Cirie told Izzy that Jag and Reilly think it will be a split vote and they need her in order to have the numbers. Cirie said she will never vote with them and they are going to be surprised. Cirie said she is on board with Reilly going but she does wonder why people aren’t talking about Cameron. Cirie thinks Blue and Jag would be down to take Cameron out. Izzy thinks that targeting Blue and Jag can wait once Reilly is gone, as Cameron is the main one that they would need to target. Cirie said she wants to hear what Hisam has to say. Cirie and Izzy agreed that Hisam is being a dictator.
12:27 PM: Cory told America that Hisam is scary. He worried that Blue, Jag and Matt would not put him up next week. America thinks that Matt would since he is so close to Reilly. Reilly joined them. She made it clear that they cannot mention Cirie potentially voting for her. Reilly talked about not wanting to leave. Cory suggested she base her campaign around how she is a good competitor and can help get certain people out. He also alluded to her being able to pitch that she would go after Hisam. Reilly said it’s obvious who’s he wants out of the house. America said they want the same thing. Cory said it would have to be a backdoor.
12:54 PM: Jared let Cirie and Izzy know that both Cameron and Cory talked to him about Hisam needing to go next week. Izzy said they had just been talking about how if the shot is taken next week, it’s taken. Cirie said it would have to be a backdoor. Jared mentioned potentially putting America up next to someone, with Hisam being the backdoor target.
12:58 PM: Felicia let Hisam know that last week she made a deal with Reilly that she would not vote her out this week if Reilly helped her stay. Felicia said she wants to respect Hisam’s wishes and wont give Reilly the vote if he does not want her to. Hisam worried that others would catch wind of it and then the vote could be an important one. He did not want to risk it. Felicia said not a soul but Hisam would know about it. Hisam argued that stray votes always come out eventually, and his preference is that she does not do it. He clarified that the house had already decided to keep her before Reilly did anything about it.
2:45 PM: Cirie told Cory she had a conversation with Reilly and said she cannot promise her anything. Cory said she is running around asking them to not mention that she might have Cirie. Cirie said that’s the totally wrong thing to do. They discussed that Hisam may need to be targeted sooner than later. They agreed that it would have to be a backdoor. Cory said he wasn’t sure if Cirie and Izzy would be on board, but Cirie said they would be since they are not stupid.
3:10 PM: Jag spoke to Cirie about keeping Reilly. He talked about how they could cause confusion in terms of who voted to keep her by all saying different names. Cirie said that would be super scary for her and she is becoming increasingly scared to keep Reilly since there is too much talking going on. Cirie explained that it would be horrible for her game if it were to come out that she flipped. Cirie said she needs to think on it but she reassured Jag that she wants to work with him regardless. Jag agreed.
3:35 PM: Cirie told Cory and Izzy that she cannot talk to Jag anymore. She said she needs him to chill and stop talking to her.
3:36 PM: America and Jag discussed that the other side is locked in. America believes that the vote could come down to a tie. Jag said it might as well be unanimous if that is the case, seeing as there is no way that Hisam would keep Reilly.
3:46 PM: Blue asked Jag if they are biting themselves in the ass. Jag said they need to consider if keeping Reilly is doing just that. He added that nobody on the other side would ever want to work with them if they split the vote, so it’s not worth it unless they know that they have the numbers.
5:06 PM: Cory told Jared his plan is to nominate Bowie and Red with the goal of backdooring Hisam. Cory said he could see Cameron being the next target once Hisam is gone. He listed off Blue, Cameron, Hisam, Jag and Matt as the people he thinks need to go in the coming weeks.
6:05 PM: Jared told Izzy about Cory wanting to target Hisam next week. While he is on board with that, he would prefer that Cory nominate America and Jag. Izzy agreed with Jared. She added that if the shot at Hisam isn’t available, they should take Cameron out.
6:36 PM: Cirie told Izzy and Jared she thinks it’s going to be hard to get rid of Cameron down the line, so she wants to talk things out. Jared asked what the perks of keeping Reilly would be. Cirie said it would be easier to get rid of her. Jared said he doesn’t feel comfortable with Reilly since she was adamant that he needs to save her when he could have sent her to the nether region. Jared brought up that Reilly has way more of an army behind her as well, which Izzy agreed with. Cirie said she just can’t stand Cameron. Izzy argued that it’s not the week to make Hisam angry by not doing what he wants.
8:05 PM: The Professors alliance met up in the HoH room. Hisam said he is so proud of them for coming together when the other side was after them. Hisam said he trusts all of them and they are going to surprise the others. Hisam noted that Cameron, Cory and Jared are getting close and they will need to watch out for them working together. Hisam encouraged everyone to spread out but not make other alliances without letting the group know. Hisam thinks that Blue and Jag are going to try to form something with the other side of the house once Reilly is gone. He listed those two as the main targets for next week, though he said Jag is the priority.
8:53 PM: Izzy told Cirie that Hisam is very scary right now. She was not happy that he was pushing they should plant that she should go up next to Cory with the goal of having the other side nominate just one person from their side if they win. She also said he was not letting Bowie or Mecole finish their thoughts during the meeting. Izzy said Hisam is on a power trip. They talked about solidifying things with the women of the Professors, and they said they know that Cory and Jared are with them as well.
9:03 PM: Izzy let Felicia know that if they have a shot at backdooring Hisam next week, they are going to do it. Felicia said Hisam thinks that he is running the game. Izzy feels as though he is weaponizing the use of terms like inclusivity and integrity. Izzy said she will not let a man railroad his way to the end.
11:01 PM: Hisam asked America what she is thinking post-Reilly. America said she wasn’t sure what his plan for the week was, which is one of the reasons that she wanted to talk. Hisam said his target is Reilly because she started targeting him last week and therefore she is dangerous to him. Hisam said he hopes that they will vote Reilly out.
12:02 AM: Cory spoke to the cameras. He said he felt personally invested in Reilly for a while but not anymore. He said he would like to be friends with her but she is not good at Big Brother. As for who is good at Big Brother, he listed off Jared and Cirie, and said America may be. Cory said Jag should be good. As for himself, Cory said he has Steve Moses upside with more agency. Cory thinks Jared is the best connected person in the house followed by Cirie and Izzy. Cory said Izzy is not the type of player she thinks she is, as she rubs people the wrong way and could be in danger if the wrong person wins a competition. Cory isn’t sure if it’s worth winning HoH next week, seeing as his only concern would be Hisam somehow surviving next week and also winning the next HoH after that.
1:53 AM: Reilly encouraged Matt to play along with Hisam for this week, and then next week they can backdoor him. Matt worried that he would be screwed if the plan wasn't executed. Reilly assured him that they would still have the numbers moving forward.
