BBCAN4 - Loveita Adams Exit Interview
April 4, 2016
During the double eviction, why do you think that Maddy decided to target you?
Loveita: I believe that Maddy decided to target me because she was very close to Ramsey and Dallas and she was aware that I was also close with both Ramsey and Dallas. I noticed that week that she was kind of weary of me spending time with Dallas and was almost suggesting that I limit my time with him. I believe that for her, because she was the closest with those two in the house, she seen it at a threat that I was getting close to them. I also feel as though Cassandra may have motivated Maddy to consider me as a threat and almost kind of suggest that she put me up and make me one of her targets.
After spending a week with Kelsey following your eviction, did your opinion of her change?
Loveita: I always knew that Kelsey was a nice person. However, I also knew that she was emotional. My opinion didn’t change of Kelsey. We just had the opportunity to make amends and share some truths that helped us make peace and move forward in our relationship. I know that Kelsey and I will be friends outside of the house.
When you found out that the houseguests had to unanimously decide which houseguest to bring back, what did you feel your chances were?
Loveita: I thought that it could have been even depending on how people were thinking. On one side of the coin, everybody voted me out. Therefore, I was coming back into the house as a lone ranger. I feel like logically that would make sense for them to want me to come back in because everybody rejected me. Once again, I’m on my own and I’m a free agent. On the other side of things, Kelsey had an outward alliance. Jared and Raul and her were always open about the fact that they liked each other and they were working together. In front of the house, it wouldn’t be a surprise for Jared and Raul to outwardly say “we want Kelsey to come back”. With someone like Joel or even Mitch, because of the game that they are playing and they are trying to keep it under wraps, it would be a lot more risky for them to take a stand for me. For those reasons I felt that yes, Kelsey did have a great chance of going in because the people that are for her wouldn’t be fearful to speak out.
Had you returned to the house, in what way would you have changed your game?
Loveita: Had I returned to the house, I would try my best to be more social in those social group settings. I think that I would have been more open to the concept of using vetoes. I believe that while I was in the house I knew that I was highlighted because I was HoH, I was getting blood on my hands, I was having to make a lot of big decisions. Using the veto at that time made me feel like I am just going to end up leaving more enemies in this house that are gunning for me.
Who would you have wanted to work with had you returned to the house?
Loveita: If I got back in the house, the first thing I would do is make Mitch and Joel know that their secret is still safe with me and I still believe that we are working together. Then I would approach Jared and Raul and let them know everything that I know. This would be risky but it is something that I wanted to do. Myself and Kelsey had created this great plan. I wanted to be able to go out and execute it even though I knew there would be risks. I think I would have just played the Mitch and Joel situation as long as I possibly could.
Who did you plan to target if you returned and got in power?
Loveita: My two targets would have been Cassandra and the brothers; the brothers because I offered them grace by not using the veto and insisting that the whole house vote them out on my HoH. The very thing that I did to save them is what they did to get me evicted. They used the veto knowing that the house was going to vote me out. Cassandra, the reason why she would be a target for me is I feel it is a lot easier to have straight shooters in the house where you know that you are their target and you have the opportunity to cut a deal with them. With Cassandra, Cassandra just goes where the power is. If you are not on the side of power and you are potentially on the block, she is not going to save you. She is going to do what is best for her game.
What strategy do you expect Kelsey to have moving forward?
Loveita: I felt that Kelsey had a very strong social game. She spent a lot of time playing and getting to know people with very little game talk. I think that moving forward Kelsey’s strategy is to keep her mind in the game at all times. Now that she has all of this information, I did kind of tell her to be careful with that information. Once information is released, it is not valuable anymore once it gets around the house. It is over and it is used, so be wise and use it when needed and use it as leverage. Kelsey is a quick learner, she is a smart girl and she is going to go back into that house and she is going to play a strategic game. I believe that she is going to do well.
You were weary of the wildcards, thinking that they may even be Canada’s players. Where would they have fit into your game plan if you had returned?
Loveita: The thing that I recognized about both Nikki and Tim was that it seemed like they are both willing to take risks and they are both willing to to do wild moves. I kind of felt in my heart that with me being the underdog, me approaching Tim and saying “let’s work together” is something that Tim would do. He can flip on a switch and I felt that that could benefit me because he would know with me returning to the house that I am target number one. He would want to possibly support me just for the sake of switching around the house. When I left, everyone was trying to be loyal to Jared. We all know in the game of Big Brother there need to be sides. Someone needs to be a target and someone has to go home.
Who would you like to see make it to the Final 2 and why?
Loveita: I would like to see Kelsey in the Final 2 because I believe that the Big Brother Suite gave me an opportunity to integrate my thoughts and my strategy into her game. That would be a very great moment for me to see somebody that I worked with and put my mind together with. What Kelsey lacked, I felt that I was able to invest knowledge into her. That would make me proud and I am rooting for her. The next person would be Joel; Joel simply because I feel like people in this underestimate him. They call him gullible and all sorts of things. I feel like what people don’t recognize is that Joel knows this game. He is a superfan and I believe that he has the ability to go all the way. I would love to see him win.
We saw you wear a variety of different hats while in the house. How many did you bring with you and are they something that you wear all the time in your every day life as well?
Loveita: Wearing hats is a way that I can be lazy. My hair is a mess and often times in the house the vibe is relaxed and lazy. You don’t want to have to take the time to go do your hair every day. I just love hats. I think it is stylish, I think it suits me and I think it shows my personality. I probably brought about seven but I wore other people’s hats as well.
