BBCAN4 - Maddy Pavle Exit Interview
April 22, 2016
At what point do you think your game began to take a turn for the worse which resulted in your eventual eviction?
Maddy: That’s a hard question. I don’t really know if there was a certain point where my game took a turn for the worst but just not making certain relationships was my downfall.
When you called the house meeting, did you do it because you wanted to, because you were encouraged to by others or a little bit of both?
Maddy: I didn’t necessarily want to do anything. I didn’t want to campaign. I just wanted to sit in my bed of tears and cry and know I was going home, but Ramsey spoke to me in my head and was like “just do it, don’t give up, give it all you have got and see what happens”.
Who do you think legitimately had your back this week and who was working you for your jury vote?
Maddy: I don’t think absolutely anybody had my back. There was not one person who I thought treated me better than the others.
The brothers continually told you they wanted you to stay. Do you think they were being honest with you?
Maddy: Well no, they put me on the block and said I was their target so it was hard for me to believe they wanted me to stay. They want my jury vote and I get it.
Had you stayed in the game, who would you have wanted to work with?
Maddy: Nobody. I would just try and talk to different people and maybe change my game a little bit in terms of social but I would have just been a free agent and a lone ranger.
Who would you have wanted to target?
Maddy: I think if I was still in the house and I won HoH I would probably go for the brothers or Kelsey. The brothers because they put me on the block and I was their target. You snooze, you lose. You’re just going right back up. Kelsey just because I don’t love her. We aren’t best friends. At the end of the day, that’s what it is.
On Sunday night you hoped you could get Cassandra on the block next to you. Why did you feel that would give you the best chance to stay?
Maddy: Because Cassandra doesn’t have as many true relationships as she thinks she does. A lot of people don’t trust her in this house. I think I would have had a pretty fair chance next to Cassandra.
Also on Sunday night, you mentioned you would vote for Jared to win. Did your opinion of him change after he confronted you about it that night?
Maddy: No. I was really emotional so I was really upset that he confronted me about that and called me out but he didn’t really realize what I was trying to do. I was literally just saying "I’m leaving. Jared, you are the next one who I think has played the best so good luck”.
You mentioned Tim being a mentor figure to you. What are your thoughts on him now?
Maddy: Tim, I think, was a mentor to everybody and I just didn’t see that yet. It was unfortunate that I didn’t see that until we were on the block next to each other. I still think he is a great guy but, you know, he has some nasty in him.
What did it mean to you to get an update from Ramsey before leaving the house last night?
Maddy: It means so much. I’m so happy that he is happy. He looks good. I can tell that he feels good and I am happy that he went home to be with his family. He wanted nothing more.
Where do you see your relationship with Ramsey going once the game is over?
Maddy: I mean, I don’t know at this current moment and time. I will have to think about it. Once I get back to my real life, then I will be forced to make a decision.
What will you base your jury vote on?
Maddy: It really depends who is in the Final 2. I’m going to try and get as much information as I can from people who walk in the door but, at the end of the day, it will just depend who is in there.
Who would you like to see in the Final 2 and why?
Maddy: I would like to see Jared and Tim probably. I would like to see those two just because I think Jared is a respectful player and he didn’t play just for personal reasons. He played for game reasons and I respect that. Tim, I could just say “I told you so” to people and it would give me a bit of gratitude and it would be bittersweet.
What, if anything, is your biggest regret about your experience or how you played the game?
Maddy: Absolutely nothing. I don’t regret anything. I love the relationships that I made and the relationships that I didn’t make. It was just a game. Everything happens for a reason.
