BBCAN4 - Nikki Grahame Exit Interview
April 29, 2016
Note: Nikki was not made available for interviews in the same manner as the previously evicted houseguests. We were provided with the following questions and answers:
How shocked were you to be evicted?
Nikki: I was half expecting it. I mean, we were never 100% sure what was going to happen with the me and Jared on the block vote. I survived that but before I could absorb the fact I was back on the block. It really didn’t come as that much of a surprise. What did come as a huge surprise was Tim not voting to save me.
Do you think you could have gone all the way?
Nikki: I think I could have lasted at least one more week. I have come this far so to fall at the last hurdle was a bit of a kick in the gut.
Who or what do you think was responsible for your eviction and why?
Nikki: I think that little meeting Tim held in the backyard before the PoV ceremony had a lot to do with it. I sat on the sofas and I wish had gone out there to fight my corner. I trusted Tim and that was probably a big mistake.
What was the hardest thing to deal with in the Big Brother Canada house?
Nikki: The hardest thing to deal with was just the brutalness of it, people talking in front of you, walking into conversations where people were talking about you, having to vote each other out and just the sheer cutthroat part of the game.
You had a hard time with slop. What gave you the motivation to stick it out?
Nikki: Slop was hell on earth. I literally had to take each day at a time because I just wanted to leave and I just couldn’t bear the thought of the whole week on slop. Luckily we got pizza halfway through the week. That was a really really good break.
What is your favourite memory from the house?
Nikki: My favourite memory by far was having a live kangaroo in the backyard with three of the cutest puppies I have ever seen in my life. Just being voted in to the Big Brother Canada house in itself was very special and a huge achievement. I am really grateful to Canada for being so welcoming to me and so lovely. I think that exit will stay with me forever. I thank everyone that was there.
Going in as a wildcard, how did you expect the Canadian houseguests to respond to you joining them?
Nikki: They were never going to be happy to have two additions to the show. I think once they got to know us we were alright.
Who do you expect to be friends with outside of the house?
Nikki: I’m obviously going to be friends with Joel. I would like to say Tim but it is still a bit raw. He has upset me quite a lot so I am going to let him do some grovelling before that. Possibly Cassandra because she is so funny, and Mitch of course!
What did you think of the competitions?
Nikki: I despised the challenges. It was the worst ever. It was hard and I never ever won a challenge. I am not going to miss those one bit.
You gave your fellow houseguests nicknames. Which nickname was your favourite?
Nikki: It would have to be “hyena” for Raul or “poison” for the poisonous one Maddy. Raul was always squawking or making noises or being obnoxious and behaved just like I believe a hyena would be have. Maddy was poisonous and the name says it all really. She is pure poison.
Do you have any regrets?
Nikki: My only regret would be leaving my fate in Tim’s hands. It proved I couldn’t trust him in the end. That was a hard lesson to learn.
What was it about Joel that made him your pick to win, and if it had come down to the two of you would you have still wanted him to win?
Nikki: I would most definitely have wanted to Joel to win if I had been in the final with him. He is always going to be my choice for the winner because he is so passionate about that show and all reality TV. He has been genuine, honest and loyal since Day 1. I think it would be the biggest achievement in his world to win this show. It would change his life and I think he is the most deserving.
You said on the way out that you plan to have the loudest voice in jury. How do you plan on convincing your fellow jurors to vote the way that you believe they should?
Nikki: I shall just use my powers of persuasion and of course my loud voice. I will be quite stubborn in getting my own way. I definitely don’t want to see Tim taking that throne.
Who do you think is going to win it all?
Nikki: Sadly, I think it is going to be Tim or I think it could be the brothers. I would say it is out of those two.
