Allison White Exit Interview
April 21, 2014
Are you surprised by the house's decision?
No, I am not surprised at all. I spun a tangled web before I left, after getting rid of Arlie, and put my faith in the promises Adel gave me which were not true. And it came down to me losing HOH so when that happened I wasn’t surprised I was the next target for Neda because she never trusted me and I never trusted her.
How has Canada’s influence impacted the house this year?
Okay, first of all getting in the house was awesome so Canada changed my game completely, they let it happen, they started my game so that was really cool. When they put Andrew and Sabrina on the block that was a huge power shift and I know a lot of people hated the fact that it wasn’t in their hands. It wasn’t the house’s decision, it was Canada’s decision and that was really cool for the fans, but not so cool for me, because those were two people I was aligned with. It’s cool because it shakes up which people have power and makes sure the people who have power all the time don’t, so I think it’s really cool.
When do you think the competition shifted gears? Was there a definitive moment or was it a process?
It was a process but clearly once Arlie revealed he was working with the Sloppy Seconds and not the First Five that was huge and that was a huge shift in power.
Why did you connect so well with Andrew?
He was the first person that actually made me feel comfortable in the house. Coming in to that house, the snake pit, and having everybody suspicious of me, he was just the first person to come up to me and have a conversation, it felt really comfortable. I just went from there, he was a really genuine person. It started for me as a game move but quickly turned to this is my friend, this is a person I can trust, and this is a person I want to spend time with.
Would you choose to align yourself with anyone else if given a second chance?
If I came in to the house the same way, I wouldn’t do anything different. Circumstantially, I think if I came in to the house the same day everybody else did, I would have aligned myself with Jon because of the Newfoundland connection. Or the underdog side of the house.
What was your favourite/worst experience/moment in the house?
Getting voted in to the house was definitely the best moment because it allowed me to play the game and it felt really cool to have Canada behind me. It was also the worst moment because I thought I was going to die from anxiety when it happened and I entered that house.
What did you discover about yourself that you didn't know prior to being on the show?
I’m actually not as good of a liar as I thought I was. It was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be, too. The trust thing was huge. I trust people easily, so having to constantly question people was hard and I don’t know if that will come outside with me or not.
If you can go back to any moment in the house and change your reaction, which moment would that be and why?
OH MY GOD, I’D KEEP ARLIE! And I would have said 200 in that HOH, instead of 350.
You’re a huge fan of Big Brother. Why do you think Canada voted you in over Scott and Nate?
I have no idea. I was the most relaxed and maybe myself. I wanted to be me and go on the show to play the game.
Do you have any final thoughts?
I’m sorry for letting Canada down…if I did.
